This series of hand printed images from 35mm film explores the animal nature of human beings. I dressed the participants in (synthetic) animal-derivative regalia in attempts to connect him or her to his or her respective sense of animal power. Noah grew into a large, kingly animal while I became strong as a smaller animal with keen defensive instincts. The visceral experience of wearing the fur adds a layer of distance between the performer and the camera and reveals personality as natural and animalistic as if we have little control of who we are as human animals. Perhaps as humans, we may question what creates personality and how power is expressed though it.
